Yes it adds great potential for small light vehicles

I can see business model changing thus bev cost will go down substantially. Swappable battery at the dealer or station when you need it.

or add this to car like Apetera or Micolino for Hyper efficiency

Yes. Cost is a concern. But if people got over the FUD spread by ICE manufacturers and lapped up my motoring journalists (aka range anxiety), and realised most people charge every night at home and seldom travel more than a 100km in a day then quite a small base range would be fine if hot swappable batteries could be used for long trips. You might only need 25kwh to give 250km.

It would improve current EV by a ton. Lower weight , better handling , can stand the cold, no fire and no explosion, bigger interior and/or bigger boot space. Faster charging.

The only con I can see is the new tech cost will be very high at the beginning.

These units could be swapped Gogoro style into a car and two could add 160km of range. On a trip you can swap them out every couple of hours of driving (if you needed to you could keep a couple of spares in the boot).

If the car had say a 40-50kwh battery weighing a 80-100kg, the base car could offer plenty of day to day range and be light, agile and efficient. So most of the time you would not be obliged to lug around a lot of extra battery weight you will very seldom use.
