That's not the case. The SU7 standard version is equipped with Blade batteries, while the Pro and Max versions use CATL batteries. Therefore, as long as CATL knows the accident vehicle was a standard version SU7, it can conclude the battery wasn't produced by CATL.

The base SU7 also dual supplies from CATL and BYD, and CATL wouldn't wouldn't know unless Xiaomi confirmed to them when the manufacturing/delivery date was. I wonder if this is a slight retaliation for that.
